How to make money on TikTok?
Most of us know TikTok to be a social media platform where we shoot short videos with hundreds of visual and sound effects. But, what most of us don’t know is you can actually make money on the platform. In this article, I will give you the ins and outs about making money on TikTok, so please stay tuned. You are probably wondering how that is possible, but don’t worry I got you covered. In this blog post, there are 5 different ways to make money on the platform, so stick around and read along.
- Growing and selling accounts
Like any other social media platform, most people or brands want to have thousands of followers but are not willing to invest the time and work it takes to make these accounts grow. This is where you come in, you can do all that work for them and then sell the account when you have garnered enough followers.
To actually ensure that you capture the right customer, you should choose a specific niche and create attention-grabbing content around that niche. The main goal is to create content with the potential to be viral in order to capture the attention of the ideal customer.
Many brands, particularly those of up and coming businesses are likely to buy into this market as having a large number of followers makes selling products easier.
2. Going live
This is only possible after your account reaches 1000 followers. Your followers can actually donate coins to you through a live stream. Those coins turn into what we call diamonds. These diamonds can be converted into PayPal cash.
Every 10 000 diamonds give you $50.
This is obviously scalable because there are millions of TikTok users who browse the site on a daily basis.
Imagine if you had at least one live stream per day!!!
3. Affiliate Marketing
I am sure most of us look the other way when someone mentions affiliate. Probably because of those internet gurus who have turned it into a scam.
If you have a specific niche in which you work, be it cooking, fitness, health, skincare, or even e-business. You can
- sign up for free on ClickBank
- look for products related to your niche and content
- promote the products and earn a commission by attaching your affiliate link to your TikToks or creating a website or landing page that will lead them to the actual product.
4. Print on Demand and Merch
This does not need any startup income. You can start doing it for absolutely free. You can create print products on websites like Teespring. The platform allows you to design prints that can be printed on T-shirts, hoodies, leggings, bags, hats, pillows, and most recently masks.
This is lucrative if you have a phrase or slogan attached to your TikTok account which you can put on a product. You can promote the product on your account and your followers can buy that to support you.
Keep in mind that you price your own products on Teespring so you control how much income you can make.
Yes, you didn’t read wrong, you can make money by selling shoutouts to up and coming brands or smaller accounts.
Create a Fiverr account (You can learn how to get started with Fiverr). Create a gig and offer shout-outs to brands at a fee of course. Gigs can be priced from $5 but remember that Fiverr takes a dollar off of each sale, so you only make $4.
I took the screenshot below and you can see that there are many people who offer these services. They charge upwards of $5 but there are not limited to that, they can charge even more for special packages.
